The Assistive Technology Center is pleased to announce our Remote Support Service. This new technology will enable ATC support professionals to resolve many technical problems over the internet. This new service will be available free of charge to anyone purchasing ATC laptop or desktop computers. Also, anyone who currently owns an ATC laptop or desktop computer may receive this service for free. People who own other computers may receive this service for a nominal fee. Unlike other remote desktop support programs, ATC Remote Support Service is completely screen reader friendly and will not interfere with the client computer’s JAWS, Window Eyes, or any other adaptive software. Additionally, Remote Support Service is totally secure, with the end user having complete control over the remote access sessions. The software for this service can be installed in two steps and can be run by a complete novice. ATC professionals can talk any user through the process in less than one minute.
